The Scoot

We’re riding a 2006 Yamaha FJR 1300 sport touring bike that we purchased three years back.  We’re also set up with a rear trunk which you will see in later posts.  Gotta have some place to carry all that…gear.

The Yamaha is very powerful and handles like a sport bike which is why we’re making every effort to stay off the interstates.  We’ll go up to 400 miles per day, especially when there is a lot of ground to cover such as through Nevada and Utah.  After that, the days get shorter and the sights more interesting.
