Day 1 – Roseville to Grass Valley
Drop off the Duds, take Mom and Dad to dinner, spend the night and launch tomorrow
Day 2 – Grass Valley, CA to Ashland, OR
Early start – 7am! We’ll head to Chico and then we’ll cut over to Lassen Volcanic National Park and spend some time sightseeing. We’ll stop for lunch near Alturas. We plan to arrive in Ashland around 5:30pm.
Day 3 – Ashland
Day of leisure – tour the town, maybe ride over to Jacksonville and then Midsummer Nights Dream in the evening in the Elizabethan outdoor theater.
Day 4 – Crater Lake National Park
We’ll take OR-62 to Crater Lake and ride the rim road. Have some lunch and return to Ashland for the evening.
Day 5 – Ashland, OR
Another restful day with day ride around the countryside and maybe we’ll take in a Green Show.
Day 6 – Ashland to Bandon
Heading to the coast SR-197 toward Brookings, north on US-101 with a stop in Gold Beach and then up to Bandon for the night.
Day 7 – Bandon to Ashland
Back to Ashland via SR-42 for another show. We’ll see Taming of the Shrew at the Bowmer Theater.
Day 8 – Ashland, OR to Weaverville, CA
This is a beautiful ride – we’ll follow the Klamath River along SR-96 and then at the Hoopa Indian Reservation, we’ll head east on SR-299 and follow the Trinity River. We will spend the night in Weaverville and visit Mary’s favorite spots.
Day 9 – Weaverville to Home
Sadly, our last day but we’ll get to see Mom and Dad and rub Dudley’s belly!
