We spent a nice morning wandering around the town and we especially enjoyed Lithia Park. What a treasure Ashland has.

As we wandered around the park, we noticed many senior citizens. Our grandson commented recently, when Tom took him to see the Big Boy train, that there were “a lot of Mimis and Papas here” (that’s what our grandchildren call us). We repeated his words today and then asked ourselves if we look that old! Nope! We’re in complete denial about that.
Once it began to warm up, we went to the promenade for lunch and then went back to our room to rest. Mimis and Papas need their rest. Tom took a nap and Cathy cleaned up her work email.

Tonight we will see “As You Like It” at the Thomas Theatre. We’re going to dinner at Beasy’s on the Creek, right next door to our hotel.
We’ll publish this post now since it will be a late night for us and we plan on getting a very early start tomorrow morning since we’ll be riding into the valley heat.
It is forecast to be 100 degrees tomorrow. We plan on stopping every hour to cool down. When we get home, Cathy is planning on walking through the front door, into the backyard, and into the pool.
Here’s tomorrow’s planned route.

Since you are able take long riding trips like this, you are definitely not ‘old’! You can start thinking about being old when you reach your 80s or perhaps your 90s.
I am amazed at the distance you have to drive tomorrow!!! Have a good trip home. Fortunately, you will miss most of the worst heat, since I expect you will leave early.
