Day 2 – Ely to Vernal

We had a very long day today. We left Ely at 7:30 am and rode along a portion of US 50 that resembled the surface of the moon.

Wait! What is this? Water?  No, it’s salt. A salt flat.

Then the road became more interesting through beautiful agricultural areas.

The only drawback, bugs. Lots of bugs.

We climbed a beautiful Aspen-lined summit.

And down the other side, we followed a beautiful river.

Now we rest our heads in Vernal, Utah; also known as dinosaur country and much like the surface of the moon.

Glad to see you’re hanging in there. Don’t push yourself. Bugs are just protein. YUK!!!
